5 acres (est. 1985), within Leeds City boundary, this is the most northerly commercial vineyard at present, but the local topography, south-facing slope and micro-climate are generous.
Soil: sandy loam over sandstone. An interesting visit, given owners' knowledge and enthusiasm. Characterful West Yorkshire wines, made on site in small modern facility, have won many awards at regional level. Free tasting before purchase. Mainly white; limited amounts of sparkling and red wine.
Grape Varieties:
White: Madeleine Angevine and Seyval Blanc
Red: from early varieties
Visitors' Facilities:
