Purbeck Ice Cream Launches New Rosé Sorbet in Collaboration with Langham Wine Estate

Purbeck Ice Cream and Langham Wine Estate revealed a new collaboration this week: a sorbet flavoured with fine English fizz.

The Langham Fizz Rosé Sorbet arrives in celebration of Purbeck Ice Cream’s 30th anniversary with what the Dorset winemaker describes as “genteel aplomb.” It follows Purbeck Ice Cream’s stated ethos of sourcing ingredients as locally to Purbeck as possible.

“We really value being part of the Dorset food and drink scene and love working with local producers,” said Caroline Giltsham, Head of Sales and Marketing at Langham Wine Estate. “With Purbeck Ice Cream being so close to the Wine Estate it makes a lot of sense to combine two favourite treats – sparkling wine and sorbet – so we leapt at the chance to help create this unique flavour.”

Langham Wine Estate began producing wine commercially in 2009, when Justin Langham planted 30 acres of land at his father John Langham’s Crawthorne farm, and specializes in the classic Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

Purbeck Ice Cream make their products in the rolling hills of Dorset, using local ingredients, gluten free, with no nuts, artificial flavourings, preservatives or added colours.

Langham Fizz Rosé Sorbet is available in The Vineyard Café at Langham Wine Estate from now, served as a refreshing dessert option on its own, or accompanying one of Andrew James’ homemade treats.
