Chapel Down is England’s leading wine producer and one of the UK’s most exciting drinks companies.  Produced in Kent, Chapel Down offers a world-class range of sparkling and still wines, together with an award-winning range of Curious beer and cider.  With a mission to surprise and delight, Chapel Down has quickly gained support from leading chefs such as Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver, as well as receiving an impressive array of international awards.

Located in Tenterden, in the heart of the Kent countryside, the Chapel Down winery is open to the public throughout the year and welcomes over 50,000 visitors each year.  Chapel Down offers guided tours of the winery and vineyards, together with tutored tastings and gift experiences.  The winery boasts excellent visitor facilities, including an impressive restaurant and shop stocking local produce.

Chapel Down pushes the boundaries of wine production in England and have launched England’s first skin-contact white wine (Chapel Down Orange Bacchus 2014), England’s first single varietal Albariño (Chapel Down Albariño 2014), the most expensive bottle of English sparkling wine at £5000 and broke the world record for the largest and fastest equity crowdfund in 2014.  Chapel Down is also one of the UK government’s top 50 food and drink producers, has been awarded ‘Cool Brand’ status for the past two years and is regularly served at government functions.

Visitors' Facilities:

The Chapel Down winery offers excellent visitor facilities and hosts guided tours of the vineyard and winery together with tutored wine tastings and gift experiences throughout the year. Facilities include the Swan Restaurant serving modern British cuisine, a stunning Herb Garden and a Wine & Fine Food shop selling local produce as well as the range of Chapel Down wines.

The Chapel Down winery is open daily from 10.00am to 5.00pm throughout the year and guided tours are offered seasonally. Visitors are also welcome to walk through the vineyards using one of the winery’s complimentary wine trail maps. For more information, visit www.chapeldown.com/visit

Chapel Down also operates a Vine Lease scheme offering customers the opportunity to lease their own Bacchus vines from the winery’s Tenterden vineyards. The Vine Lease scheme includes the chance to take part in the harvest and receive their own wine with personalised labels at the end of each year.
